I am bad at writing so my thoughts will be random FYI. I was at a trip to Best Buy the other day and took a stroll through the headphone isle. I tried the many display headphones with my own source and was surprised that these phones were the best there. None of the headphones available were audiophile grade(expected) and prices ranged from $30-400. These managed to outperform every headphone in the store in my opinion with a pricetag of only $99@bestbuy vs $150. The headphones are very comfortable and lightweight. I especially like how the earpad makes contact with the entire ear unlike many that only have a ring of padding. They block out a lot of sound, even more than the noise cancelling headphones on display selling for $400 such as the plasticy mediocre sounding Beats. The sound is great. There is strong bass, life like and clear mids, and good highs that are slightly restrained so they are not harsh or give listening fatigue. I was listening at a loud store so there may be more bass than I heard so they are at least good for outdoors. The only drawback I would say is that they are made of plastic although they seem durable and are much better built than the competing bose OE headphones. In case it matters, I actually do know what good sound is like and own VMODA M80, UE700, Sony MDRV6, Grado SR80, Klipsh S4.
